OSK volunteers join Kembara kitchen to prepare flood-relief meals

Home / What We Do / Community Development

The OSK Foundation, in seamless collaboration with Kembara Kitchen, has proactively mobilized a vital effort in anticipation of the upcoming flood season. We are focused on the preparation of Santapan Hero Meals for the heroic first responders and the communities impacted by the disaster.

What truly elevates this initiative is the revolutionary capability of the meals themselves that defy the constraints of time, maintaining their quality and freshness for a period of up to two years. This provides victims with the autonomy and comfort of consuming their meals at their own convenience.

Across two sessions, our OSK staffs have actively engaged in the process to pack a diverse menu including Spaghetti Bolognese, Nasi Arab, and Mashed Potato. Furthermore, our team extended their contribution beyond the packing line, offering assistance to the Kembara Kitchen team with logistical packaging and preparation. It was a meaningful day as this immersive participation provided us with a holistic understanding of the entire relief process.
